Tattooist INNO Interview
The start of the career
INNO’s artistic journey began with the inspiration of the sea. “I live near the beach,” INNO shares. “When I was frustrated or couldn’t come up with an idea, I used to look at the sea and meditate.” The immense ocean and its ever-moving waves spark endless creative ideas for INNO.
And because of that, he found his true calling: creating art that mirrors the fluidity of water and seamlessly melds with the body. “My career choice wasn’t tied to a specific reason, but rather a natural gravitation.”
As he started to put out wave-themed artwork, INNO noticed that they garnered more attention than other designs. Around the same time, his interest in tattooing is piqued by a small, beautiful flower tattoo he bumped into.
“Tattoos can be more than just simple drawings; they can be art. I have to do this!” he realized, setting the course for his artistic journey and unique style.

Finding his voice in the world of tattoos
INNO’s creations go deep into the details. Every line, curve, and perfect contrast between highlight and shadow helps create the movements in his vast collection of dragon and phoenix tattoos.
While mystical beings like these are not uncommon in the tattoo world, INNO has a unique concept. “I want to bring water and fire in harmony and infuse my designs with these contrasting elements.” This innovative approach to classic symbols brings a sense of motion and life to his designs.

While each tattoo has a special place in INNO’s heart, he is particularly intrigued by one small dragon tattoo he created. It turns the human body into the sky, and these miniature dragons traverse the canvas as if on an adventure. “It transports you to another world. And that’s what I want my clients to feel every time they see their tattoos.”

Tattooist INNO’s creative process
For Tattooist INNO, the clients are a big part of a successful tattoo. His creative process is a collaborative dance between the artist and the client.
“What I value most is the needs of my clients,” INNO explains. “Most of my drawings are inspired by my clients’ ideas. I heard them talk about their feelings and stories, then reinterpret them in my own style.” By working closely with the clients with empathy and attention, he was able to create tattoos that his clients adore.

When it comes to marketing strategy, INNO firmly believes in the power of creativity and skills. “The works that capture the most eyeballs are often unusual, creative, and well-executed. And that’s what I am working towards.”
Finding a good tattoo and tattooist
Getting a tattoo, especially the first tattoo, isn’t always easy. It’s not just a way to express yourself but also a commitment. “If you’re unsure about what tattoo to get, take your time until you are sure.” Tattoos, INNO believes, are lifelong marks. And one should be certain about their choice before getting inked. Also, starting with a small tattoo is often a good choice.
Finding the right tattoo artist is another crucial step in getting a good tattoo, if not the most important. INNO suggests that those hunting for tattoos should thoroughly review the potential artists’ profiles and research. “The designs are not the only things to look at. Photos of their healed tattoos also help identify the quality and longevity of their work.”
Aftercare is equally important as the inking process. To maintain the vibrancy of tattoos over time, INNO has two tips:
- Apply sunscreen and have a proper skincare routine to preserve the skin’s moisture.
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid smoking and excessive drinking.
While most people focus on the first aspect, a healthy lifestyle is often neglected. However, it’s key to maintain the skin condition and the tattoo in the long run.
Life in and out of tattooing
Outside the tattoo studio, INNO is a fitness maniac. Maintaining good physical fitness, he believes, is essential to a balance of life and good work performance.
INNO’s passion for tattooing is complemented by one of his hobbies – photography. When he is not designing or tattooing, he loves exploring new places and capturing moments of beauty and solace.
Despite the demanding nature of being a tattoo artist, INNO finds immeasurable joy in his work. It’s a passion that doesn’t feel like a burden. And it makes work feel like play. And this happiness is contagious for his clients, fellow tattooists, and followers online.
