I have been a member for around 10 years and have financed numerous vehicles through them and was getting ready to finance a new truck in the next 3 months. I have recently been changing my autopay from First Tech to my main bank on a couple of reoccurring charges that I have. The autopay didn’t go as planned and I got 3 consecutive overdraft fees at First Tech for $33 each, totalling $99 in fees. I went into the branch and asked if they could work with me since I have been a loyal customer and was denied. I was very respectful during the discussion and was hoping they would be able to work with me at least a little,but that wasn’t the case. I am also not a fan of their new location. It is in a very sketchy part of Salem and it is extremely unsafe to use the ATM after dark. There are tweakers all around the credit union after hours.

I’ve changed this review as they’ve put in a lot of changes. Now back to being good but the only downside is they force you to have appointments and you can’t get same day appointments. Also can’t call the branch directly. Staff there are awesome and so helpful. I would recommend them and for international business surprisingly great

Used to be great and some great people still there but they closed the other branch and now lines too long and they’ve even reduced workers. Currently still here trying to deposit cash after 1 hour. Please word of advice get the appointment guy behind a teller desk and that would do way more than having him schedule appointments. Witnessed 2 people just leave complaining of the time taken and also talking with others people they are looking for a different bank/credit union. So sad was good now terrible

Do not go to this bank ! I have been with them for years and they used to be good. However now they completely screwed me. I somehow got charged a $33.00 overdraft fee although when I looked at my balance it said im only 32.92 cents negative. That means that clearly I had at least 6 cents which means no overdraft charges should have ever went through. I have brought my account positive now but the fact that they are going to steal 33 dollars for nothing is more than unacceptable.

Great branch. I’ve always had great experiences with the first tech branches the last 10 years that I’ve been banking with them (their call center – not so much!). I came unto this particular branch on a tuesday morning around 10:30 to obtain a new debit card, with my 5 year old in tow. A teller greeted me immediately and I informed her I was there for a new card. She was very friendly and asked me to take a seat because there was one person ahead of me getting a card. As we walked over to the waiting area, my son was delighted to see the lego table in the waiting area (he’s a Lego nut), especially after complaining about going to the “boring bank” on the way there. It was only about a 10 minute wait, and I was pleased to have the legos to occupy my wiggly little guy. The employee who helped me with the card was very professional and nice, and we were finished within 10 minutes. My only complaint is that it was hard to tear my son away from the toys!
