What a stunning place! It’s honestly breathtaking. As it is quite close to the airport we got a transfer straight from the airport to the blue lagoon when we landed in Iceland. You can book this through the official website! There are people directing you and helping you in the changing rooms. Once you’re in the lagoon you can get one face mask, which makes you skin feel amazing! And one drink included (unless you upgrade your package). Honestly it’s amazing, we spent about 4hours there. The staff also did a bit of a talk about the lagoon which was interesting. Once you get out you’re then giving a towel and can have a drink and a bite to eat in the cafe. It can get quite busy there but wasn’t to bad at the time we went in the morning. It is a must see! 100% worth a visit!

What a way to end our trip to Iceland. We saved going here for the last thing we did. It was worth the money and our time. Go with the standard admission. You get admission plus a facial. You can wash it off in the water. You get a free alcoholic drink at one of the bars in the pool. The premium package gets you a robe and massage package. If you’re just wanting to go in and have a drink, go with standard package. Lockers, showers, changing rooms provided. It’s beyond what you could ever imagine! Enjoy my photos. They’re taken from inside the facility since I wasn’t going to take my phone into the water, which some did.

I have never been to any kind of spa place, but oh man. We ended up being in the pools for a couple of hours on a Tuesday morning. We had the ability to get some of our bags checked and stored before we went in, and then once you were inside, there was a locker room that you could store smaller items like a small bag, coat and shoes. There were showers on sight that you would use before entering to pools. Once you go through the locker rooms, store items in lockers and get showered up, you then proceed out the back towards the entrance to the pools. Since it was January it was pretty cold outside, there is an entrance to the pools inside, so you don’t have to walk out into the cold air in your bathing suit. The pools were such a nice temperature, I had my shoulders under the whole time, just crouched down so I could stay nice and toasty. I would say that the deepest part of the pool was probably about 5’3″? That’s my best guess.
There were two little shops in the pool. There was a bar that served both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, and there was a place to get your silica, lava, algae, etc mask to then apply to your face.
When we first got there it was probably around 1000, and we left I want to say around 1230, and thank goodness we did. There was a huge wave of people coming in, like a line out the door. The whole time that we were there it was pretty quiet, yeah there were some people there, but for the most part it was pretty open.
I would 100% go again, and recommend this place to others.

A great way to either start a trip or end a trip in Iceland! Located about 20 minutes from the Reykjavik airport, it offers some stunning geothermal baths, a steam bath, saunas, hot showers, drinks, and face masks.
I would recommend spending 2-3 hours if one goes for the cheapest “Comfort” option, but one can stay as long as they like. Having visited in late September, it wasn’t too crowded as the timed tickets helped stagger groups, but there are also some nice paths outside of the Blue Lagoon area.
There is a lot of space to move around and the water never exceeds 5 feet deep. One can also walk around the decks and enjoy the scenery.
Lockers are provided for all guests through the use of a wristband that will also serve as a credit system to buy drinks and masks.
There are many ways to get here with a quick car rental being the easiest. However, there is also the Blue Lagoon shuttle one can take from the airport to get here. There is also a luggage storage for big bags by the parking lot.

Really nice experience, though expensive. It’s something you need to try at least once.
Comfort pack was enough for us, unless you need a robe and want to eat at the restaurant. But you get a towel anyway so the robe isn’t really required.
The lagoon was much bigger than expected, and in some areas it’s very shallow or up to around your shoulders standing up. If you go further away from the main entry of the lagoon, then it’s less busy & more quiet – you can have more privacy away from crowds and little kids. There are lots of nooks and areas to explore.
You get a locker which is easy to use. There are hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, hand cream, and bags for wet items and 1 towel provided.
There can be a queue for showers as it gets quite busy. Bring some slides and something to protect your phone in the lagoon.
Book early, especially if you want to dine in the restaurants. The restaurants are well rated and get booked out early. Go to earlier or later night sessions – everything in between is super busy. We spent 4 hours there but could have spent longer! It’s so relaxing ☺️
